Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Korex collects, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
1. What We Collect
To run Korex, we collect: (a) account information you give us — name, email, phone number, country, and password; (b) profile information — photo, bio, trading interests, and any content you post (signals, comments, reviews); (c) identity/KYC information if you choose to verify your account or apply for certain features (see Section 3); (d) usage and device data — app interactions, crash logs, IP address, device type, and approximate location (derived from IP, not GPS) for security and localization; and (e) information you provide when contacting support or applying to a broker/IB program. We do not collect your trading account passwords or brokerage login credentials — you deal with your broker directly outside of Korex.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: create and secure your account; operate core features like the social feed, signals, broker directory, and economic calendar; personalize content (such as which traders or brokers you see first); send service messages, security alerts, and — if you opt in — push notifications and marketing updates; detect fraud, spam, and abuse; verify identity where required (Section 3); improve the app through aggregated, de-identified analytics; and meet legal and regulatory obligations. We do not use your personal data to make trading decisions on your behalf, and we never sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. KYC and Identity Verification
Some features on Korex — such as becoming a verified Introducing Broker (IB), publishing signals under a verified badge, or accessing higher-trust community tools — require identity verification ("KYC", know-your-customer). If you choose to verify, we or our verification provider may collect a government-issued ID, a selfie for liveness/face matching, and basic personal details (full name, date of birth, address). This data is stored securely, access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems, and it is used only to confirm your identity and to meet our legal/compliance obligations — never displayed publicly. You can ask us what verification data we hold about you at any time.
4. Sharing Your Information, Including with Brokers
We share data only where necessary: with service providers who help us run Korex (cloud hosting, push notifications, analytics, customer support, identity verification) under confidentiality obligations; with a broker or prop firm only if you explicitly apply through an IB referral or partner form on Korex and choose to share your details with them — we tell you before this happens and it requires your action; with regulators or law enforcement if legally required; and in a merger, acquisition, or sale of Korex, under the same privacy commitments described here. Public content — your username, profile, posts, signals, and reviews — is visible to other users and, depending on your settings, may be visible outside the app. We never sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses minimal cookies and similar technologies for essential site function (like remembering your language choice) and privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic. Our mobile app uses analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how features are used and to fix bugs — this data is tied to a device/account identifier, not sold, and used only to improve Korex. You can control app notification and, where offered, analytics permissions in your device or app settings.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted internal access to sensitive data such as KYC documents. No system is 100% secure, and we continuously work to strengthen our safeguards. If we ever become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your country, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your account and associated data; object to or restrict certain processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. You can update most profile information directly in the app. For anything else, or to exercise these rights, email privacy@korex.app — we will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
8. Data Retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (such as KYC or transaction-related data) to meet legal, tax, anti-fraud, or regulatory obligations, or to resolve disputes.
9. Children
Korex is not directed at, and may not be used by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we've collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it and close the associated account.
